As is custom at the end of the year I've decided to pick out some of the images I am most pleased with from the last 12 months. The year kicked off with a trip to the Scottish highlands - starting off in Inverpolly and Coigach, then down to Torridon before making our way home. Strong winds and heavy rain scuppered our plans to camp high, but the wild conditions made for some really interesting and changeable scenes.
This year saw me start a new venture in film photography after I purchased a medium format Hasselblad 500cm. Here's four I particularly like:
I was able to make three trips to the Lake District in 2016, each resulting in really different conditions. A personal highlight was a wild camp on top of High Crag, overlooking Buttermere. We spent a very windy night in our bivvy bags wedged between some rocks, but awoke to a stunning sunrise.
